MALDO
WORK    INFO

Maldo is a Slovak illustrator, graphic artist, visual problem solver, art director and animator, lately splitting his time between Prague and Bratislava. The body of his more recent illustration work can be described mostly as simple, bold and playfully inventive.

Often following a conceptual and eclectic approach, he loves experimenting with basic lines, shapes and negative space and exploring how they can visually interact together. He therefore likes decomposing familiar objects or ideas and reassembling them differently, forming new, witty and unusual output, sometimes with multi-layered meanings.

Over the years, his work can be seen worldwide on posters, in magazines, newspapers, t-shirts, stickers, music festivals, websites or ads amongst other things for clients such as The New York Times, Monocle magazine, Skoda, Pilsner Urquell, Time Inc., Standart Magazine or The Surf Office.

In 2018 his work has been recognised by the Computer Arts Magazine, featuring him among "25 Best Illustrators to work with".
